I can't believe Alex is 6 years old! This past week, our family celebrated his birthday by having a couple of parties, and going to Jungle Jim's. It was an excited and fun week and I am all tired out. Something that I am extremely proud of is the birthday cake I made. (with a little help from my wonderful life saving neighbor, Heather) His latest rage is Super Mario Brothers, so his cake had to be Mario. I was able to find the idea on the Internet and was quite surprised how great it turned out.Because Alex is 6, I thought I would write S IX things I just love about that boy
**1** He is very thoughtful and kind
**2**He is a great big brother to his two sisters
**3**His smile
**4**The way he dresses himself (layer upon layer of clothes)
**5**How he draws me pictures
**6** He a big helper and surprises me by making my bed in the mornings.
The list could go on and on! I love that boy! I am so grateful to be his mother!

Wow 6! I would say I can't believe it, but now that I'm a mom I realize how fast kids grow :) He sure is a cutie. I love the Mario cake! Did you make it yourself? All I can say is wow!
Looks like it was a total success! What games did you end up playing? Way to go on the cake. You sure have come a long way from when you did dad's birthday cake when we were kids. Do you remember that double layered cake you did? This Mario cake could have been sold at a bakery! Way to go.
